New Addition

It has been awhile since I have posted anything.  Too long in fact, but life caught up with us.  We had an addition to the family this past March and I thought I would attempt to pick things back up.  So without further ado, I present to you Clara Lynn King.

She is now 4 months old, so I thought I would share some pictures from the last 3 months.

This last picture is from Easter wearing my old dress.

Potty time

Ok, so I know that you are all just dieing to know what could prompt a title like "potty time," but first a little back ground information. Jarrod and I have been in the process of potty training Andrew. The catch phrase for this little adventure has been, "put your pee pee in the potty." Well, Andrew has also taken interest in the alphabet as of recent. All this just to get to the real story.

Ok, so the other night Grayson came over with Amber to plan a family vacation. While the adults were busy plotting, so were the children. After awhile Jarrod went to check on the children. He found Andrew standing in the toilet and Grayson splunking as well. He also noticed that the foam bath letters were missing. Well, to make a long story short, $200 later we discovered that Andrew has been listening, the plumber pulled the letter "p" from the toilet. Andrew put his "p" in the potty.

Daddy and Me

So recently Andrew has become very opinionated and wants to do everything just like Daddy. For example: today at lunch Andrew was drinking happily from his sippy cup until he sawJarrod drinking from another cup. He then proceeded to insist on drinking from a "big boy cup."

Here are some othe examples of being like Daddy:

Kids say the darndest things

So I thought that I would keep up with the current trend, posting the silly things that our son says.

Andrew has learned a new word, difficult.
Andrew: "I difficult."

Andrew, Oma, and me in Jarrod's truck on our way to Bueno.

Andrew: daddy truck. :: points to
dash::
Me: yes, it is.

Andrew: (thinks for a minute)
Where's dada?
Me: He is helping a friend.

Andrew: ( looks around)
No friend! Daddy, daddy, where are you?

Andrew continues to search for daddy the rest of the ride.

Today, Andrew picked up Jarrod's banana peel and was looking for the last little bit of banana. When, at last, he found it, he exclaimed....here you are!! ::chomp:: There you go.

While in Austin, I had to jump out in traffic. As I did so, Andrew ( who previously was throwing a fit) holds on tight to the booster seat handles and once we stop at the light exclaims... SORRY, sorry, no more!

October

So this last month has been crazy busy. Here are just a few of our Halloween activities.

The kids had a blast at Haunted Abilene this year, and so cute too.

Now for some old fashioned fun at Buffalo Gap.

My first whole apple. I ate the core when Momma wasn't looking.

If you couldn't guess, we are the Rubbles and the Flintstones. I even made Andrew's and Jarrod's costumes.
